


Situation: Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices group needed to spread the word about the benefits and features of advertising on Xbox Live.
Solution: Magnet Media was hired to reach a targeted audience of Microsoft Entertainment and Devices sales prospects by the business value of Xbox advertising in a way that is scalable, viral and engaging. To that end, Magnet Media:
- Produced and distributed an online video featuring the auto industry’s use of the Xbox 360 as a marketing vehicle
- Executed a custom lead generation program using the video, whitepaper and webinar materials as targeted incentives
- Hosting of webinar entitled “5 Things Every Marketer Should Measure,” a joint research venture on the value of Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Advertising
- Multi-faceted advertising campaign promoting the lead generation offer
A multi-pronged advertising campaign, including over 5.5MM social media advertising impressions, 200,000 search impressions, 250,000 web banner display impressions and 125,000 dedicated email messages was targeted and optimized towards an audience of interactive marketers and media buyers. In the end Magnet Media over delivered on the campaign goal, delivering highly qualified leads including targeted leads including CEOs, CMOs, Marketing Directors, Sr. Media Planners and Marketing Consultants were delivered to the Microsoft Entertainment & Devices business group for use as sales leads.
